Job summary

RTI Health Solutions, a RTI International unit, is seeking a motivated Research Associate Implementation Science to support the Growth of our Implementation Science Program. This entry-level role partners with senior researchers on project execution, literature synthesis, and site-based activities to deliver high-quality evidence for healthcare decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in health sciences, public health, implementation science, health services research, psychology, sociology, anthropology, epidemiology, life sciences, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research through coursework or experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to prepare clear summaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and incorporate feedback.
• Attention to data integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with standard software tools (word processors, spreadsheets, presentations).
• Willingness to learn new methods and project-management processes.

Responsibilities

• Support design, implementation, and evaluation of implementation science projects.
• Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans.
• Assist with applying theories and frameworks to research questions.
• Help develop logic models, plans, protocols, and interview guides.
• Support data collection and analysis across methods under supervision.
• Identify barriers and facilitators for adoption and implementation.
• Prepare evidence summaries, tables, figures, and client deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to ethics, confidentiality, and QA procedures.
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities and maintain timelines.
• Support site-based and multisite research through materials and recruitment tracking.
• Assist with IRB submissions and study records maintenance.
• Foster collaboration across RTI-HS teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposal development and capability statements.
• Draft manuscripts, presentations, and conference materials.
