Job summary

RTI Health Solutions invites an Assistant Statistician to join its Evidence Synthesis and Statistics team in Manchester on a 12-month UK contract. You will support statistical analyses for pharma and healthcare clients, applying meta-analyses, survival analyses, and economic value assessments.

You will develop analysis plans, prepare datasets, and contribute to abstracts, manuscripts and posters. Opportunities to publish and present at conferences in a collaborative, cross-functional environment

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, biostatistics, or related field.
• Coursework or experience performing statistical analyses with quantitative aptitude.
• Programming experience with R or similar software.
• Knowledge of statistical inference, regression, probability and distributions.
• Ability to read, evaluate, and communicate research findings.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Willingness to learn, seek feedback and contribute to team success.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, with ability to explain technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical analysis plans and prepare analysis datasets.
• Conduct analyses (e.g., meta-analysis, network meta-analysis, survival analysis, utility analysis).
• Support delivery of high-quality projects within timelines and budgets.
• Contribute to abstracts, posters, manuscripts and other publications.
• Support development of client proposals and business development activities.
• Collaborate with statisticians, health economists and literature review specialists to apply statistical methods.
