Job summary

The Health & Safety Manager will take ownership of safety performance across East and South London operations, embedding a best-in-class HSE culture across multiple garages and sites.

You'll liaise with senior leaders to translate legislation into practical guidance, lead investigations, manage training, and deliver proactive safety improvements that protect colleagues and operational continuity.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6) or equivalent required.
• Proven multi-site, high-risk environment experience.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert H&S advice across the business.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety management plans.
• Conduct audits, inspections and site visits to drive standards.
• Interpret legislation and turn it into practical guidance.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis (incl. RIDDOR).
• Ensure full statutory compliance across all sites.
• Deliver safety performance reports to senior leadership.
• Oversee training programmes and inductions.
• Chair health, safety & environmental meetings.
• Drive clear safety communication across the organisation.
