Placements24 is seeking a versatile and experienced Remote HR Generalist to support its growing operations with a strategic focus on employees located in the Eastern Cape region, while working entirely remotely.

The role will cover employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, HR administration, and ensuring compliant HR practices in a distributed team, leveraging strong communication and knowledge of SA labor laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• 4-6 years as HR Generalist or similar role.
• Experience in remote or distributed teams.
• Solid knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a versatile and experienced Remote HR Generalist to support their operations, with a strategic focus on employees located in the Eastern Cape region, while working entirely remotely. This role will provide comprehensive HR support across various functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, and HR administration. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and compliant work environment for all team members, irrespective of their location. The ideal candidate is adept at managing HR tasks in a remote setting, possesses strong communication skills, and has a solid understanding of South African labor laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide HR support and guidance to employees and management across different locations, with a particular emphasis on the Eastern Cape region.
• Manage aspects of the recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates to facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
• Address and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and labor laws.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure the integrity of the HR Information System (HRIS).
• Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and benefits programs.
• Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement, performance management, and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar broad HR role.
• Proven experience working effectively in a remote or distributed team environment.
• Solid understanding of South African labor legislation and HR best practices.
