Job summary

VRS Equipment Leasing Limited is seeking a Remote Service Engineer to provide first-line technical support for HPLC, GC-MS instruments across the UK and Europe. You will troubleshoot remotely and coordinate with Field Service for site visits, installations and training.

Ideal candidates will have a scientific degree, at least 2 years in a scientific or field service role, and strong communication skills to handle challenging customer situations. Occasional travel (~20%) is expected.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in a relevant scientific field is required.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining complex instrumentation is essential.
• Knowledge of HPLC, GC, MS instruments and related software is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in scientific or field service environments.
• Willingness to travel up to ~20% to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide first point of contact for HPLC, GC-MS instrument repairs via telephone or video.
• Collaborate with Field Service to plan site visits and briefing on instrument issues.
• Travel on-site with Field Service teams for installations and training.
• Identify opportunities for process or product improvements.
