Job summary

Belfast Central Mission is recruiting a Housing Support Worker to assist people over 55 to live independently at home. The role is remote working covering the Belfast and Greater Belfast Area, with a 35-hour week and a permanent full-time contract.

You will visit service users in their homes, provide guidance on housing and social care, advocate for their needs, and coordinate with external agencies. No personal care is involved.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience supporting older people in the community.
• Full UK driving license.
• GCSE English or equivalent.
• NISCC registration or willingness to obtain within 6 months of start date.
• Right to Work in UK.

Responsibilities

• Visit service users in their own homes or neutral venues to provide support.
• Act as advocate and liaison with external agencies to obtain necessary help.
• Help service users remain living independently in their own homes.
