Action for Children in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland is seeking a Housing Support Worker on a casual contract to provide emotional, social and practical support to young people aged 16 to 21. The role emphasises person-centred care and strong teamwork in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 3 in Youth Work or a Social Care-related qualification.
• Experience of working with vulnerable young people aged 16–21 in a formal setting.
• Registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) or the willingness to register.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting young people to achieve their potential.
• Establishing relationships and links within the community to assist our young people and their families.
• Assisting the Residential Workers to support the young people.
• Contributing to care plans, support plans and risk assessments.
• Carrying out 1-2-1 work with the young people to help them with cooking, budgeting and looking for jobs etc. and attending appointments with them.
