Job summary

Glen Dessary Lodge, a remote Highland retreat, is seeking an experienced Lodge Host/Housekeeper to look after guests during their stay.

You will lead high-standard housekeeping, welcome guests, provide front-of-house service and assist with kitchen duties, working a split day aligned to bookings.

Accommodation on site is provided. Own transport is essential due to remote location; this casual/contract role offers dates based on bookings.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-standard housekeeping and guest service.
• Ability to manage front-of-house duties and basic kitchen tasks.
• Comfort with remote lodge environments and shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the lodge to an exceptionally high standard before guests arrive.
• Full housekeeping of bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
• Change beds and prepare linen and towels; laundry duties.
• Ensure lodge is beautifully presented for guest arrival.
• Welcome guests and be main point of contact throughout their stay.
• Provide friendly, discreet and professional service.
• Set and clear tables; wash dishes; keep kitchen and dining areas clean.
• Assist with food preparation and general kitchen duties when required.
• Keep communal areas presentable during guests' stay.
• Check supplies and report any maintenance issues or concerns.
