Principal People is recruiting a Health and Safety Business Partner. This home-based role focuses on the Midlands with UK-wide travel as required, offering autonomy to manage your own portfolio and diary while building client relationships.

The ideal candidate is a Chartered IOSH member with a NEBOSH Diploma and strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, ready to provide practical, commercially-sensible advice to clients.

Qualifications

• Chartered IOSH member is essential.
• Diploma-level H&S qualification required.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and risk assessment.
• Ability to advise clients and build trustful relationships.
• Willingness to travel within the UK when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop long-term relationships across your portfolio.
• Provide expert H&S advice, helping clients manage risk and compliance.
• Understand client operations to tailor practical, commercially realistic recommendations.
• Support clients with H&S management systems and safety culture.
• Engage with clients via meetings, Teams/video, phone and digital channels.
• Identify opportunities for additional services such as audits or training.
• Support client retention and portfolio growth.
