Principal People is recruiting a Health and Safety Business Partner to manage a Midlands-focused portfolio from a home-based base. The role offers autonomy to shape client relationships, with travel UK-wide as needed and a strong emphasis on practical, business-oriented H&S solutions.

Qualifications

• Chartered IOSH member status is essential.
• A recognized diploma-level H&S qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NVQ 4/5/6) is required.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, risk assessment and RIDDOR.
• Ability to advise clients on complex issues and manage relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage long-term relationships across your client portfolio.
• Provide expert Health & Safety guidance to clients, addressing risk, compliance and complex matters.
• Understand client operations and objectives to ensure practical, proportionate, commercially realistic recommendations.
• Support clients with H&S management systems, risk management and safety culture initiatives.
• Conduct meetings via in-person, Teams, or calls and identify opportunities for additional services.
