Job summary

Altum Consulting is partnering with a mission-driven hosting organisation to recruit a Head of Technology. The role is a 12-month fixed-term, home-based contract, focused on establishing the technology foundations from the ground up across a not-for-profit setting.

You will shape the technology strategy, lead selection and implementation of core platforms, and drive secure, scalable, and user-friendly services for charitable projects.

Qualifications

• Not-for-profit/philanthropy experience preferred.
• Start-up/scale-up background preferred.
• Not-for-profit background valued across international contexts.

Responsibilities

• Develop the technology strategy and roadmap, aligned with growth ambitions.
• Partner with operational teams to select and implement core platforms and digital workflows.
• Establish an integrated technology architecture with reliable data flows and a consistent user experience.
• Set governance standards for information security and data protection with external providers.
• Define the technology service model for partner projects, including onboarding and ongoing support.
• Source and lead technology suppliers, consultants and implementation partners.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve services and efficiency.
• Build digital confidence across the organisation with clear guidance on new tools.
