Job summary

Global Resourcing is partnering with a UK charity to appoint an Interim Head of Technology. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership of the technology function, directing a team of around 14 with three direct reports, and reporting to senior leadership.

You will develop and deliver an integrated Technology, Digital and Data roadmap, align investment with priorities, and ensure measurable value. The role requires strong governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Senior technology leader with experience in technology, digital or information systems.
• Experience developing technology strategies and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong governance, risk management and resilience across organisation-wide tech.
• Experience managing third-party technology suppliers.
• Background in charity or not-for-profit sector preferred.

Homebased – Travel across the UK as required. (Typically twice monthly London meetings)

The role

We are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Technology to provide strategic and operational leadership across the technology function.

You will act as the organisation's senior technology expert and trusted adviser to senior leadership.

You will lead a team of around 14 people, with three direct reports, and oversee technology infrastructure, business systems, cyber security, architecture, service delivery, suppliers and technology governance.

Working closely with the Head of Digital and Head of Data & Insight, you will help develop and deliver an integrated Technology, Digital and Data roadmap, ensuring technology investment supports organisational priorities and delivers measurable value.

Requirements

You will be an experienced senior technology leader with a strong track record of leading technology, digital or information systems functions.

You will have experience of:

• Developing and delivering technology strategies
• Leading multidisciplinary technology teams
• Technology infrastructure, business systems, cyber security and service delivery
• Organisation-wide transformation and technology modernisation
• Technology governance, risk management and resilience
• Managing third-party technology suppliers
• Building effective relationships with senior stakeholders
• Translating complex technical issues into clear business priorities
• Balancing strategic leadership with operational delivery
• Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector
