Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited seeks a skilled Bid Writer to join our Win Work Operations team, supporting proposals across consulting, engineering and technology.

You will collaborate with technical experts and business leaders to craft compelling content, manage multiple deadlines, and help develop bid-writing capabilities across the workforce. This role may require security clearance and offers hybrid working with flexible opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven bid/proposal writing experience, preferably for government or professional services.
• Ability to interpret technical information and present it clearly to clients.
• Excellent editing and proofreading with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong stakeholder management across levels and functions.
• APMP/Shipley bid methodologies knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience using AI to support writing tasks is a plus.
• Familiarity with public and private sector procurement processes.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling bid content and responses for proposals across services.
• Develop case studies and win-work collateral to strengthen submissions.
• Collaborate with technical experts, business leaders and wider proposals teams.
• Act as subject-matter expert for bid writing within the Win Work Operations team.
• Support development of bid-writing skills across the workforce.
