Job summary

NatureSpace Partnership is seeking a GIS Officer to manage operational geospatial data, ensuring accuracy and timely updates across datasets. The role sits within the Data Team, reporting to the Senior GIS Specialist, with opportunities to broaden experience in personal interest areas.

You will collaborate with modelling specialists and external partners, maintain data quality, and contribute to data dissemination for conservation outcomes. Flexible remote work is available UK-wide.

Qualifications

• Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience using GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
• Experience with geospatial datasets (environmental preferred).
• Understanding of GIS principles and applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior GIS Specialist with operational GIS needs.
• Maintain up-to-date datasets in tabular and spatial formats and documentation.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure data procedures.
• Enable data exchange with partners and record centres.
• Provide first-line GIS support to colleagues.
• Assist in streamlining GIS workflows.
• Present data for different audiences (maps, reports).
• Assist in GIS file management.
• Undertake other duties as required.
