You should have published on convection stability and possess strong LaTeX, Python and Jupyter skills. This is a remote, asynchronous engagement at 10 hours per week for 8–10 weeks, paid at $80–$110 per hour.

Qualifications

• PhD in fluid mechanics, applied mathematics, mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• Published work on convection stability specifically.
• Three to five representative papers with DOIs or arXiv IDs, ideally from the last five years.
• English at B2 or above, including written reasoning.
• Proficiency with LaTeX, Python and Jupyter.
• Familiarity with VS Code and coding extensions.

Responsibilities

• Engage in research-level physics problems in your subfield and contribute to problem creation, solution, and review.
• Provide written reasoning as part of every assignment to enable independent verification.
• Collaborate remotely with flexible, asynchronous hours across an 8–10 week window.
