Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mechanical / Electrical Design Engineer (Fire Protection) to join a rapidly expanding team. You will design fire protection systems for data centres, using BIM modelling with Revit to create specifications and drawings, liaising with directors and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.

This remote role offers a Birmingham base with monthly office visits to Reading, a salary of 50,000–60,000 GBP, and a benefits package including training,

Qualifications

• Experience designing fire protection or similar mechanical systems for large facilities.
• Proficiency with BIM modelling using Revit to produce specifications and drawings.
• Ability to liaise with clients and senior internal stakeholders throughout projects.
• Strong drawing checking and approval procedures.

Responsibilities

• Robust drawing checking and approval procedures.

• Work closely with Project Directors and clients throughout.
• Lead design reviews and meetings.
• Completely remote with an office visit to Reading once a month.
