Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mechanical / Electrical Design Engineer (Fire Protection) in Birmingham. You will join a small design team and use BIM modelling to develop fire protection specifications for data centres and critical facilities.

You'll work closely with Project Directors, conduct design reviews, and liaise with clients. The role offers hybrid working, a monthly Reading office visit, and opportunities for progression, training and a supportive environment.

• Willing to Commute to Reading once a month.

Mechanical / Electrical Design Engineer (Fire Protection)

Are you a Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineer, looking for a new role within the Datacentre or Fire Protection industry, for a company who are rapidly expanding and investing in the business and their team, going from strength-to-strength?

Do you want to be a key member of a highly skilled team of 8 designers, for a company that offers ongoing progression routes and the chance to put your stamp on the department?

This company provides design, maintenance and servicing for fire and security systems across the UK, working with large blue-chip clients in data centres, as well as commercial and government establishments such as hospitals and schools.

In this role, you will work closely with the Project Director to help develop and support the design team. You will be responsible for using BIM Modelling to create specifications on Fire protection designs for data centres.

This role would suit a Design Engineer from Data centres, Fire Protection or a similar mechanical industry that is confident liaising with both clients and directors internally to ensure the smooth running of projects.
