Job summary

SVRO/Diamond & Co is seeking a Fire Engineering Director to lead its fire engineering capability across a UK-wide residential property portfolio. The role combines high-level technical leadership with strategic governance, client engagement and commercial accountability.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team, set technical strategy, and ensure compliance with UK regulations and standards while driving growth and safety-first outcomes across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered Fire Engineer status or equivalent experience
• Degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline
• Senior-level experience in fire engineering consultancy or safety management
• Experience leading teams of 15+ professionals
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and fire safety standards

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and governance for fire engineering across UK portfolio
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of fire engineers and specialists
• Manage budget, utilisation, and commercial performance of the function
• Engage with clients, regulators and authorities at senior level
• Champion digital records and safety-first culture across projects
