Armstrong Watson in Dumfries is seeking a dedicated Financial Planning Consultant to join our Financial Planning Team. With a ready-made client bank and future business development opportunities, this role offers stability and growth potential.

You will work with clients to understand objectives, provide robust solutions, maintain high-quality ongoing advice, and contribute to business development while building technical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is the minimum requirement.
• Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning is desirable.
• Knowledge of Conduct of Business (COBS).
• Knowledge of Code of Conduct (COCON).
• Minimum 2 years' advisory experience.
• Knowledge of FCA Money Laundering SYSC.
• Basic knowledge of accountancy services (Audit, Tax, Insolvency, Corporate Finance, VAT).
• Excellent communication skills, in verbal and written form.
• Ability to prioritise workloads under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients' objectives and provide robust solutions.
• Provide high-quality ongoing advice to all clients.
• Identify and convert new prospects to clients for the Financial Planning Team.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge relevant to the role.
• Work to achieve individual revenue targets.
• Develop and expand professional network through events.
