Job summary

NHS Blood and Transplant is a Special Health Authority responsible for organ donation and transplantation across the UK. The Finance team supports budget holders, analyses variances, and delivers timely financial information to drive decisions.

This role is mainly remote, with monthly attendance at the Barnsley Blood Centre as needed. As a Finance Support Analyst, you will be the main contact for budget holders, assist with monthly reporting, and contribute to the delivery of accurate financial

Qualifications

• Financial management experience in a medium-to-large organisation (NHS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger systems and accounting processes.
• Understanding of accounting standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Analyse variances and provide support to budget holders.
• Main day-to-day contact for budget holders on transactions.
• Assist in management accounts and monthly reporting.
• Provide ad-hoc financial information on demand.
