Job summary

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a Finance Analyst in the Financial Systems and Support Team. The role is primarily remote, with a minimum monthly attendance at the Barnsley Blood Centre as the base location for team meetings.

You will analyse budget variances, contribute to standard monthly reporting, and respond to ad-hoc financial requests from budget holders. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in analysing budget variances and preparing standard monthly reports.
• Strong numerical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to respond to ad-hoc financial information requests from budget holders.

Responsibilities

• Provide help and support to budget holders in analysing budget variances and resolving complex queries.
• Be the main point of contact for budget holders on day-to-day transaction related queries.
• Assist the Management Accounts and Finance Support Manager and other Senior Finance staff with data analysis and standard monthly reports.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests from budget holders and Finance Business Partners for financial information.
• Occasional travel away from base when required, with prior notice.
