Job summary

Sungrow is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer for a 2-year temporary contract to support PV and energy storage across the Mid-region and Northern region of England. You will perform commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on PV inverters and ESS, while delivering field and remote support to customers and partners in Scotland and Northern England.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical engineering or renewable energy disciplines.
• Experience servicing solar PV or battery storage equipment.
• Able to interpret electrical diagrams and diagnose faults independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for PV inverters and ESS.
• Deliver field-based and remote technical support to customers and partners across northern UK.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, communication, and software faults with timely solutions.
• Complete inspections, firmware updates, and performance checks per standards and regs.
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate service records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer experience and equipment performance.
