Job summary

Siemens Energy UK is seeking an Experienced Controls/Commissioning Engineer to provide in-field and technical support for Adhoc Service, LTSA, I&C, ESoL and related teams across the UK & Ireland, with global project support.

You will apply your knowledge of major control software (Allen Bradley) and gas turbine performance (RB211/Avon A20) to commission and service centrifugal compressors and turbines, travel internationally, and work from anywhere in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Instrumentation & Controls, or Integrated M&E.
• Extensive knowledge of gas turbines.
• 5+ years' experience servicing and commissioning rotating equipment.
• Proficient with diagnostic software and control systems.
• Strong communication skills; able to work independently.
• Holder of a UK passport and clean driving licence; willing to travel internationally.
• Commitment to overseas assignments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the customer interface for Field Service and ensure excellent service.
• Support commissioning of centrifugal compressors and gas turbine packages; troubleshoot issues.
• Interpret P&IDs and drawings; verify OEM installation instructions.
• Use Bentley Nevada and ADRE to diagnose equipment and perform root-cause analysis.
• Communicate progress with clients and prepare detailed technical reports.
