Job summary

Siemens Energy in Lincoln is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to support our Industrial Turbomachinery business. You will troubleshoot, provide on-site support, and collaborate with experienced engineers on gas turbine control systems.

This role involves facilitating on-site visits and helping our fleet of turbines worldwide. The position emphasizes a proactive, collaborative mindset, a strong engineering background, and the ability to learn new skills while supporting Field Service and

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or equivalent experience with engine systems.
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
Excellent interpersonal skills for diverse stakeholders and leadership support.
Experience diagnosing complex engineering problems and applying corrective actions.
Familiarity with gas turbine control systems; ladder logic advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide first-line support to the Field Service team during unscheduled shutdowns and ensure timely technical workscopes.
Troubleshoot core, package, and mechanical issues; implement approved design changes as needed.
Offer 24-hour support via the out-of-hours hotline when required.
Collaborate with Service Engineering to optimize installation, repair, commissioning, and maintenance procedures.
Maintain a knowledge database with technical solutions and equipment details.
