Job summary

Siemens Energy in Newcastle is seeking an engineering professional to support the maintenance and service of large gas turbines across the UK and Ireland. You will review turbine data and provide technical recommendations and risk assessments to guide planned and unplanned maintenance.

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their real-world application.
• High analytical and problem-solving abilities for technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Review gas turbine data to define scope, recommendations, and risk assessments for maintenance activities.
• Act as the single point of contact for engineering activities, coordinating across departments and the full shaft train.
• Respond to operational queries from the UK gas turbine fleet with timely first-response support.
• Communicate with internal teams and customers to plan outages and resolve technical questions.
• Attend power station sites to support planned and unplanned maintenance, coordinating with colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions.
