Job summary

Expo, the open-source React Native framework and cloud platform, is seeking an experienced field marketing lead for the EMEA region. You will own Expo's presence across Europe, including conferences, sponsorships, and speaking slots, and drive pipeline through careful follow-up and CRM hygiene.

You will work with the US team and sales to ensure events align with business goals, manage budgets, and coordinate with partners to deliver high-impact experiences across Europe.

Qualifications

• 3+ years running field or event marketing for a developer tools, cloud, or B2B software company.
• End-to-end ownership from planning through follow-up.
• Experience across several European countries with venues, vendors, cross-border shipping, and invoicing.
• Experience tying events to pipeline in a CRM; HubSpot a plus.
• Budget ownership and vendor negotiation.
• Comfort with developer audiences; ability to brief technical speakers.

Responsibilities

• Own the EMEA calendar. Evaluate, budget, and prioritize conferences, sponsorships, and speaking slots across the region in our Events Schedule, and decide what to skip.
• Run anchor conferences. Plan and deliver Expo's presence at events like App.js Conf, next.app devCon, React Summit, etc., handling terms, booth, logistics, and on-site execution.
• Host our own formats. Organize community meetups, hackathons, hands-on EAS workshops, and dinners with sales.
• Grow the community meetup program in Europe. Support organisers like React Native London and React Brno, and partner-hosted meetups.
• Handle partner and sponsor logistics. Co-host events with ecosystem partners and manage contracts and deadlines.
• Tie every event to pipeline. Build target account lists with sales, capture leads with consent, enter into HubSpot, run follow-ups, report pipeline.
• Own vendors and budget. Source local vendors for booths, print, merch, venues, catering; track spend and return.
