Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic Senior Information Security Manager to lead a global cybersecurity program from a remote capacity. You will develop, implement, and manage information security to protect against threats and enable secure business operations worldwide.

You will mentor a security team, drive security strategy, ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, POPIA), and foster a proactive security culture across the organization, with a focus on resilience and risk management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Security or related field.
• 8+ years in information security with 3+ in management.
• Experience in enterprise-level security programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute overall information security strategy and roadmap.
• Lead and mentor information security team for growth and performance.
• Oversee security controls, policies, and procedures.
• Manage the incident response process, including investigation, containment, and recovery.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
