Job summary

Paddle is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Subscriptions team to lead our core recurring revenue product. You will oversee delivery from concept to rollout, coach engineers, and partner with Product to align on a roadmap.

This role combines technical leadership with people management in a fast-moving, remote-friendly environment. You will shape architectural direction, improve reliability, and work with cross-functional teams to scale billing and payments platforms globally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience leading engineers.
• Experience with Go or similar languages.
• Proven track record as a senior software engineer on large-scale cloud-based systems.
• Experience building or scaling subscription/recurring billing systems is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery from concept to rollout with cross-functional collaboration.
• Coach engineers to develop professionally and perform with impact.
• Create a roadmap with the Product Manager for sustainable impact.
• Drive process improvements and own technical strategy within the product area.
• Maintain oversight of architecture and contribute to engineering principles.
