Turnitin is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and maintain products within the Integrity portfolio. You will work with Product Managers, Customer Success, and globally distributed engineering teams to drive alignment, accountability, and high-impact results.

The role requires hands-on engineering experience, strong leadership across time zones, and a focus on delivering high-quality software on schedule. A remote-first culture supports flexible, globally distributed work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience collaborating across time zones and geographies.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills with modern software development practices.
• Experience using Java and JavaScript within AWS serverless environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with globally distributed teams.
• Proven project management and leadership experience.
• Experience in engineering leadership roles across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower engineering teams across globally distributed squads.
• Mentor ICs, provide feedback, and support career development.
• Drive technical excellence and delivery with defined roadmaps and milestones.
• Provide cross‑functional technical oversight with the Tech Lead.
• Analyze metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Promote transparency and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Own the software quality and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Collaborate with product, customer success, and sales teams.
