Job summary

Turnitin is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Integrity portfolio. You will guide globally distributed teams, mentor engineers, and drive delivery, quality, and technical excellence across front-end and back-end systems in a remote-first environment.

You will collaborate with product managers, Customer Success, security, DevOps, and other stakeholders to align roadmaps with business goals and foster a high-performing engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on engineering leadership across multiple teams in global settings.
• Experience with modern software development practices and architectures.
• Experience using Java and JavaScript frameworks within an AWS serverless environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with distributed teams and product stakeholders.
• Proven project management ability to prioritize and deliver multiple initiatives.
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies and tools.
• Experience in engineering leadership including hiring, mentoring, and team development.
• Coaching and mentoring both individual contributors and peers.
• Ability to influence and motivate teams toward high performance.
