Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join the HR Operations team on a busy, high-volume temporary basis. The role focuses on end-to-end ER case management, coaching managers, and delivering expert guidance across disciplinary, absence and performance matters.

The successful candidate will have extensive ER experience, strong UK employment law knowledge and CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as HR Advisor, HR Officer, HR Business Partner, HRBP or Employee Relations Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a large caseload of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, probation and flexible working cases.
  • Lead complex case management activity, including cases that may result in dismissal.
  • Support and coach managers to ensure ER issues are handled fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex absence management and work with Occupational Health providers.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Design and deliver training to improve management capability and confidence in handling ER matters.
  • Maintain accurate case records, analyse trends and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support policy reviews and wider HR projects as required.
