Job summary

ABB is seeking a Project Leader to drive medium-size projects within the Electrical Distribution Solutions division. You will lead the project team, set execution approaches, and manage planning, monitoring, and control for internal and external resources to meet goals.

The role requires three years of project delivery experience, knowledge of switchgear, and strong communication skills. Remote work with travel to ABB offices and sites is expected; a valid UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in project delivery and execution in electrical distribution or similar markets.
• Knowledge of electrical switchgear and project delivery from design through energisation.
• Customer-focused with proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels including client project teams and supply chain.
• Desirable PM qualifications such as PMP or PRINCE2.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, establishing the project execution approach and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
• Monitor project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
• Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risk, and ensure opportunities are identified and pursued.
• Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and customer acknowledgment in accordance with the contract.
