Job summary

ABB UK is seeking a PMO leader to guide the Project Management Office, support project managers in applying PM policies, and shape project execution strategy. The role contributes to the Electrification Service Division in the UK and involves on-site customer engagement, hybrid work, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will coordinate portfolio reviews, drive process improvements, and lead by example in delivering high-quality project outcomes while maintaining strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Proven track record of managing full project lifecycle including scope, schedule, cost control, and vendor/subcontractor management within the electrical industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and leadership capability.
• Experience managing teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced planning, scheduling and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Management Office team and support project managers in defining and applying PM policies and work instructions.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of project execution strategy.
• Oversee portfolio-level project management activities through reviews with management and project managers.
• Act as escalation point for project management issues and drive resolutions.
• Engage with customers on-site to identify opportunities and improve operations.
