Job summary

BCL Legal is seeking an EL/PL Team Leader to head a high-performing Personal Injury team delivering Employer's Liability and Public Liability matters. The role blends legal expertise with people leadership to drive performance and client outcomes.

You will coach and supervise fee earners, manage a portion of your own EL/PL caseload, monitor quality and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with senior management to support growth and improve processes across the department.

Qualifications

Lead a high-performing EL/PL team delivering claims.
Provide technical guidance on litigated EL/PL matters.
Mentor and coach staff to improve performance.
Monitor compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of fee earners and support staff.
Oversee performance, productivity and quality—ensuring client service and financial results.
Provide technical supervision on EL/PL matters; manage own caseload as needed.
Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
Conduct coaching, performance reviews and mentoring.
Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and team performance.
Collaborate with senior management to achieve departmental objectives and growth.
