Job summary

Realm Recruit is seeking an experienced Serious Injury Solicitor to step into leadership or a Team Leader role with a hands-on senior position in technical work. You will manage a team of 6–7 Solicitors handling high-value EL/PL claims, providing guidance, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development.

You will retain approximately 25% of your chargeable time for your own caseload while helping grow the department through acquisitions and referrals.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with current practising certificate (England & Wales).
• Experience managing multi-track EL/PL and serious injury claims.
• Strong technical understanding of Employers’ Liability and Public Liability law.
• Experience leading a team of Solicitors or mentoring at Senior Associate level.
• Ability to provide technical guidance on complex claims.
• Experience conducting advocacy.
• Strong file reviews and regulatory standards compliance.
• Ability to monitor performance and develop others.
• Strong communication and people-management skills.
• Commercial awareness and collaboration.
• Business development and referral-generation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6–7 Solicitors handling multi-track EL/PL claims.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and technical support.
• Monitor team performance against objectives and chargeable-hour expectations.
• Conduct file reviews and technical clinics.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage conflicts of interest and address ethical issues.
• Coach, mentor and support professional development of team members.
• Manage your own small EL/PL caseload and ~25% time on own files.
• Support integration and consolidation of EL/PL teams as practice grows.
• Develop local relationships and secure referral opportunities.
• Contribute to marketing, development and ongoing success of the department.
