Job summary

The successful candidate will join a leading EL/PL team in Manchester, handling a varied caseload of Employers' Liability and Public Liability matters, including catastrophic injury work. You will work closely with Partners and Legal Directors, managing complex litigation from strategy through to trial preparation.

The role requires a qualified solicitor with 2–5 years PQE, experience in defendant EL/PL work, with claimant background considered.

Personal Injury Solicitor (EL/PL)

The role would suit a lawyer with experience handling Employers' Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims who is looking to develop their expertise in handling complex work including catastrophic injury litigation.

Overview

• Title: Associate
• Location: Manchester
• Work pattern: Full-time; Hybrid
• Experience: Qualified solicitor with ideally 2 PQE to 5 PQE. Experience of defendant EL/PL work. Claimant experience will be considered.

The team is small and collegiate in nature and operates as a specialist off-shoot or sub-team of the broader catastrophic injury offering. Lawyers within this team handle a broad range of serious and life-changing injury cases, offering exposure to technically challenging work and excellent opportunities for career progression.

• Complex Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims
• Catastrophic and life-changing injury matters

Nature of the work

The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and Legal Directors. You will gain experience across all stages of litigation, including strategy, liability investigations, expert evidence and trial preparation. In particular, you will:
