Job summary

Simpson Millar Solicitors invites applications for a Team Leader to oversee the Multi Track EL/PL team. You will ensure delivery of high-quality legal services and achievement of financial targets by effective resource management and by supporting and developing team members.

The successful candidate will manage 1-2-1s, performance reviews and case reviews under the Head of Department. The role includes a small own caseload and will require strong business development activity.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with current practising certificate.
• Experience managing an EL/PL caseload.
• Demonstrated leadership/management skills.
• Experience in conducting advocacy.
• Strong business development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the EL/PL team and provide technical support on EL & PL claims.
• Track team performance and ensure KPIs are met or exceeded.
• Ensure compliance through file reviews, conflicts checks and ethics handling.
• Support professional development of team members.
• Develop and manage a small EL/PL caseload (approx. 25% of hours).
• Conduct cases aligned with firm policies and objectives on behalf of clients.
