Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking an EHCP Coordinator / SEND Casework Officer for remote, temporary work. You will manage statutory EHCP processes, collaborate with families, schools and health professionals, and ensure timely completion within SEND legislation and Local Authority procedures.

Role requires experience with EHCP/SEND casework, strong communication and organisational skills, and ability to work independently to meet statutory deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience managing EHCP or SEND casework within a Local Authority, education or related setting.
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND.
• Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and statutory processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND, overseeing EHCP assessments, reviews and amendments.
• Coordinate the statutory EHC Needs Assessment process, ensuring deadlines and legal requirements are met.
• Draft, amend and maintain high-quality EHCPs that reflect needs and provision.
• Facilitate Annual Review meetings with parents/carers, schools and professionals.
• Collaborate with SENCOs, health and social care to gather information and advice.
• Support SEND panels and implement decisions with stakeholders.
• Identify and secure appropriate educational placements and provision.
• Negotiate with schools and providers on SEND provision.
• Maintain accurate case records and update SEND case management systems.
