Job summary

FlatPlan is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to design and own secure build, deployment and operations for our Apple News platform. The role focuses on CI/CD pipelines, AWS-based infrastructure, and maintaining secure coding and operational standards.

As a hands-on engineer, you will lead security hardening, automate cloud tooling, and ensure reliability across pipelines and services while embracing AI-assisted workflows. This is a remote role based in the UK with GMT work hours.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial DevOps experience with CI/CD and cloud deployment.
• Strong AWS expertise including IAM, secrets handling and least privilege.
• Security-minded with OWASP Top 10 knowledge.
• Infrastructure as code automation and scripting.
• MongoDB Atlas experience and secure configuration.
• Ability to read and review JavaScript/TypeScript code.
• Reliability mindset: monitoring and incident response.
• Daily use of AI tooling in workflow.
• Able to make technical decisions with minimal oversight.
• UK based, able to work core hours 10am–6pm GMT

Responsibilities
