Job summary

Travel Chapter is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for its growing Data Team. This remote, UK-based role sits in the Product Engineering group with a starting salary of £40,000, with room to increase based on experience.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of commercial data engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python and able to write clean, maintainable code.
• Strong SQL skills with understanding of databases and data manipulation.
• Experience with data warehouses, ideally Snowflake.
• Knowledge of ELT tools and data pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move and transform data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Design, build and maintain large-scale data pipelines and solutions.
• Develop performant, reliable Python and SQL solutions.
• Work with Snowflake, MySQL and MS SQL Server 2019 to optimize data platforms.
• Collaborate with Delivery and Product teams to track progress and meet deadlines.
• Help improve development tools, processes and system stability.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold standards.
• Test data solutions to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement prevention measures.
• Provide out-of-hours support as needed.
