Job summary

Motorsport Network, LLC is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to develop a new line of high-performance dampers for aftermarket and motorsport applications. You will collaborate with suppliers to create bespoke or improved damper solutions and translate customer and track data into component targets.

This role requires hands-on CAD experience with Catia/NX/ Creo/Solidworks, strong knowledge of tolerancing, DFMEA/PFMEA, and APQP-style project planning.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in mechanical or automotive engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years design experience of vehicle dampers.
• Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
• CAD experience using Catia, NX, Creo, Solidworks or similar.
• Knowledge of DFM, DFA, tolerancing and APQP.

Responsibilities

• To engineer a new line of high performance dampers for aftermarket and motorsport applications.
• To work with suppliers to develop bespoke or improved versions of existing damper products.
• Develop component targets based on customer requirements and track data.
• Create product costings at concept phase and monitor/manage product costings through the entire project.
• Create and manage test plans.
