Job summary

Monzo is hiring a Credit Model Validation Manager in the UK to provide independent validation and oversight across our credit modelling suite. You will lead hands-on validation of models used for customer-level decisioning, including ML/decision science and NPV models.

You’ll work with risk and modelling teams to ensure models are fit for purpose and well-governed. The role offers hybrid UK working options and a generous learning budget, with modern tooling and opportunities to influence model

Qualifications

• Background in credit model development or validation.
• Strong data-driven using statistical techniques.
• Hands-on with Python for data science and ML.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent validation of credit models (ML/NPV/decisioning).
• Provide oversight of risk models (IFRS9, stress testing).
• Develop deep understanding of Monzo's credit models and provide challenge to developers.
• Write clear validation reports and present findings to committees.
• Collaborate with first-line credit strategy and modelling teams.
