Job summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a claims professional to handle a mix of high value Construction and Engineering claims, with investigations possible in the UK or overseas.

You will drive and enhance business connections, receive and acknowledge new claims, and coordinate experts, surveyors and lawyers to protect clients’ interests. Strong communication and ACII/ACILA credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in written and verbal form.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Experience handling large Construction & Engineering liability claims.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and acknowledging new claims.
• Market for existing and new business lines.
• Preparing case management plans, visiting the Insured, Brokers, claimants and other parties.
• Preparing reports commenting on policy analysis, liability, quantum and future actions.
• Visiting sites, interviewing witnesses and preparing witness statements.
• Instructing and coordinating surveyors, lawyers, forensic scientists and other experts.
