Job summary

Vista Global is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead multiple software engineering teams in delivering a next-generation, cloud-native software platform for a global 24x7 operation. You will shepherd architectural direction, implement serverless and container-based solutions on AWS, and drive devops, CI/CD, and observability practices across the teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Software Engineering
• 5+ years in engineering management
• Experience leading software teams in cloud environments
• Hands-on AWS architecture, serverless services, EKS and event-driven design
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
• Fluency in Java, Python, or Node.js
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong Scrum, Agile, DevOps understanding
• Knowledge of DDD/BDD/TDD and design patterns

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and mentorship to multiple software teams.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Manage engineering processes and ensure alignment with company guidelines.
• Act as Scrum Master and oversee team ceremonies and performance.
• Provide estimates for features and manage delivery timelines.
• Participate in hiring and interviewing candidates.
• Drive CI/CD, test automation, and observability practices.
• Collaborate with product managers to align priorities and solutions.
• EnforceArchitectural standards and security practices.
• Offer Level 3 support with the Support team and coordinate with DevOps/DBAs.
• Maintain code quality and promote engineering best practices.
• Monitor KPIs and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
