Vista, a global business aviation leader, is hiring an experienced Engineering Manager to steer our technology department and deliver the next generation of our bespoke software platform. You will partner with business units and the wider tech team to produce efficient digital processes for a 24x7 global operation, while mentoring engineers and shaping technical strategy.

Qualifications

10+ years in Software Engineering with 5+ years in engineering management.
Experience leading software engineering teams in cloud-based environments.
Hands-on with AWS architecture, serverless services, EKS, event-driven design.
Experience with CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
Fluency in Java, Python, or Node.js.
SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, DynamoDB).
Strong Scrum, Agile, and DevOps understanding.
Knowledge of DDD, BDD, TDD and design patterns.
Cloud-native architectures and scalable system design.
Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Provide technical direction and mentorship to up to 2 teams of software engineers.
Architect and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, RDS, SNS/SQS).
Manage the team’s engineering process and ensure adherence to guidelines.
Act as scrum master for the team and manage ceremonies and performance.
Provide estimates for new features and manage delivery timelines.
Conduct interviews in hiring processes.
Drive CI/CD, test automation, and observability practices.
Collaborate with product managers to align priorities and solutions.
Observe and enforce Architects’ standards.
Provide Level 3 support for supported services with the Support team.
Work with DevOps, DBAs and Infra to resolve incidents.
Enforce security standards and promote best practices.
Monitor application KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
Foster collaboration and continuous learning.
Lead and mentor engineers; conduct performance reviews.
