Job summary

Vix Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to lead the operational ownership and continual improvement of multiple customer-facing and internal platforms hosted primarily on AWS. You will work across Linux and Windows environments, build and maintain IaC with CloudFormation and Terraform, and advance CI/CD pipelines while ensuring high service availability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
• Strong experience administering AWS cloud environments.
• Experience managing Linux and Windows infrastructure.
• Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
• Automation using PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Networking fundamentals including DNS, routing, load balancing and firewalls.
• Monitoring, logging and observability tooling knowledge.
• Security best practices and DevSecOps principles.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka and other messaging systems.
• Experience with Splunk or similar logging platforms.
• AWS Systems Manager, IAM, Secrets Manager and CloudWatch experience.
• Experience in production environments in regulated or customer-facing contexts.
• AWS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Operate and support production and non-production environments across multiple products.
• Deliver infrastructure improvements, platform upgrades and cloud migration initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Automate operational processes using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Monitor platform health, performance and security, proactively identifying improvements.
• Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Work closely with software engineering, product management and customer support teams.
• Contribute to platform architecture and technical design decisions.
• Participate in operational support and incident management activities.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
