Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Manager II, Clinical Operations to lead a team of clinical research professionals across the UK and Ireland. This role combines leadership with hands-on study delivery, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance while driving operational excellence.

You will partner with sponsors and internal stakeholders to optimise resourcing, development and performance, supporting career progression and a culture of continuous improvement within the Clinical Network.

Qualifications

• Degree in Life Sciences, Nursing or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years' clinical research experience in CRO/pharma/healthcare environment.
• Strong understanding of GCP, quality requirements and study delivery.
• Experience in clinical monitoring or site management is desirable.
• Experience supporting regional and/or global clinical trial delivery.
• Previous people leadership experience with a proven ability to develop, motivate and build high-performing teams.
• Ability to balance employee engagement with performance accountability while driving operational excellence.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels.

• Ensure high standards of quality, compliance and regulatory oversight.

• Support recruitment, onboarding and talent development activities.
• Partner with project teams, sponsors and operational leaders to support successful study delivery.
• Champion continuous improvement, standardisation and operational excellence across the organisation.
