Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Manager II, Clinical Operations to lead a team of clinical research professionals across the UK/IRE. The role focuses on monitoring, quality, and study delivery, with a strong emphasis on leadership, performance management, and workforce planning.

You will support recruitment, onboarding and talent development while partnering with sponsors and project teams to ensure successful study delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in Life Sciences, Nursing or related field with equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years' clinical research experience in CRO/pharma/healthcare.
Experience in monitoring, site management or clinical operations leadership.
Strong understanding of GCP, quality requirements and study delivery.
Experience supporting regional/global clinical trial delivery.
Past people leadership experience with ability to develop and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team of clinical research professionals across the UK/IRE.
Drive performance management, career development, and succession planning.
Foster accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
Ensure quality, compliance and regulatory oversight.
Manage resource allocation, workload forecasting and workforce planning.
Partner with project teams, sponsors and operational leaders to deliver studies.
Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence.
