Carrington West is seeking an experienced Estimator with civil engineering and earthworks expertise for a 6-month rolling contract. The role is predominantly remote, requiring just one day per week in the Wiltshire office.

You will prepare cost estimates, review drawings, and support tender submissions. You should be proficient with estimating packages (Causeway) and comfortable working independently to meet deadlines.

Formación

• Proven Estimator experience in civils/earthworks.
• Experience with Causeway or similar estimating software.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, quantities and tendering.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering and earthworks.
• Review tender docs, drawings and project requirements.
• Assess quantities, materials, plant, labour and subcontractor costs.
• Use Causeway or similar estimating software to prepare estimates.
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
• Identify commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support tendering from enquiry to submission.
