Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a CFD specialist to help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulations. You will take CAD geometry, configure and run simulations, and develop verified reference solutions while writing Python checks to validate the agents' results.

The role emphasizes remote, flexible project work with a focus on high-quality CFD practice and rigorous verification against benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred but not required.
• Several years of hands-on CFD industry or research experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, including meshing.
• Solid verification/validation practice: mesh-independence studies and validation against experiments or benchmarks.
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub.
• English at B2 level or above.
• Nice to have: aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery background; multiphase or particle-laden flow experience.
